I have always been fascinated by color and texture. I started collecting fabric at an early age from cast off clothing. I would make my stuffed animals outfits out of these scraps. I got enjoyment from simply creating things.
I was fortunate to have the opportunity to stay home with my children after my daughter was born. I felt a creative restlessness so I purchased a sewing machine to make home decor items. I took classes and workshops to really improve and hone my self taught skill. I started a home decor shop and made window treatments, pillows and bedding. I purchased an embroidery machine so I could embroider gifts for friends and thank you gifts for my customers. I had so many requests for more embroidered items that I could not keep up with the home decor business. I felt I had found my perfect creative niche. I invested in a commercial embroidery machine that would stitch on or through anything so that I could have professional results. I studied the market and decided what I wanted to produce and found instructors to teach me the best method to get those beautiful lines . . . belle linee.
